[Rumor] 感恩節後 聖誕節前的大特價?
雖然是一篇很有可能是廠商嚇嚇大家的新聞
不過這幾週看來好像是真的耶
大概的內容是說錯過感恩節特價的也不用太難過
因為之後的幾個週末 週週是Black Friday
在廠商都希望保持低存貨的狀況下
這種持續折扣的狀況應該還不會改變
不過觀望的消費者也要有心理準備
就是"Sold Out"的字樣這次可就是玩真的啦
(就是說熊小小前週也看到了 嗚嗚><)
另外是說聖誕節或是年底想要看到"更好的大特價"機率不是很大
因為東西都出清完了 明年可就直接上新貨啦
不過這幾週看來好像是真的耶

這應該是最近學校最熱門的話題了吧
幾週前還在為了Elson要加年薪26000美金而有人上街抗議而上報紙
沒想到這幾天就是學校宣布因為"績效不彰"而把他解雇的消息
雖然感覺有點現實 但是學校開出的buyout價是50萬美金 馬上把這位教練的身價提高到全校第一啦~~

The David Elson era at Western Kentucky University has ended.
The Daily News learned this morning that WKU head football coach David Elson will not be retained by the university after the conclusion of this season.
University officials had no further comment at press time.
WKU athletic director Wood Selig and President Gary Ransdell scheduled a news conference for 1 p.m. this afternoon to discuss the matter. Elson will not be present at the conference.
As for the rest of the 2009 season, Elson and his staff will coach the team for the final three games before Elson is removed at the end of the year. It is unclear right now whether any or all of Elson’s coaching staff will also be let go.
Hired as the program’s head coach in March of 2003, Elson has compiled a 39-41 record at WKU. Prior to that, Elson served as an assistant coach on former coach Jack Harbaugh’s staff from 1996 through 2002. Elson was the defensive coordinator of WKU’s 2002 Division I-AA national championship team.
Elson has been the only NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision coach the program has known, but has had little success throughout WKU’s transition, which formally began in 2007.
Since making the initial move to the FBS in 2007, Elson’s teams have a combined record of 9-24.
The team is winless in the 2009 season and owns the longest losing streak in the country, totaling 17 games dating back to 2008.
During the last three seasons, Elson is 1-22 against FBS competition.
The move to terminate Elson’s contract will apparently cost the university $500,000 in buyout money. In January, the WKU Board of Regents approved a proposal from Selig to extend Elson’s contract through the 2016 season.
Selig told the Daily News in 2008 that he had no plans on judging the seventh year coach on wins and losses during the transition until the 2011 season.
“(Elson) does not need to doubt for a minute – nor do those on his staff or our student-athletes – that we aren’t totally behind what they’re doing and how they’re doing it. Because we are,” Selig told the Daily News in the Nov. 19, 2008, story. “I don’t think it’s fair to really evaluate them by that standard alone until possibly 2011, when the (redshirt freshman starting safety) Ryan Beards of our program are redshirt seniors, and we’ve had a chance to stay true to our philosophy of recruiting an entire class – be it 20 to 25 student-athletes, redshirt them, develop them physically and academically to put them in the best position for success.
“In 2011, that’ll be the first year that we have an entire program full of student-athletes who have signed on for (Division I-A) football. To me, that’s when the evaluation truly begins from a win-loss standpoint.”

光是5月份 BG的動物領養中心就多了1000多只流浪動物 (以貓咪居多)
今天登出認養特價
成貓一只25塊 小貓一只75塊 2只小貓100塊
另外 本月還有結紮特價 貓咪是35塊 狗狗是45塊 (下個月會漲到40跟65)
話說我們這社區昨天走失一只黑貓一只白貓 希望牠們早早平安回家嚕~~

邪惡的Walmart要開賣便宜的iPhone了嗎?
如果不是惡搞的合成照 看來是十分有可能啊
反正Walmart專賣大陸貨 加個iPhone也不為過吧
有些傳言是12/28開賣 當然也有人說是會搶在聖誕節推出
4G 兩年約$99到底是有便宜嗎??

話說最近信箱裡 先是多了一些注意校園安全的要求
(這當然是韓國人引起的 好在這亞洲人多為日本人或是華人)
今天終於有人動用到 Voice 選項了
Voice 標題的文章 是教職員提出議題
利用群組信討論的功能
和大家想的不一樣
今天的主題是 BSAs 的working shift
學校不知道為什麼 想把他們的工作移到晚上半夜到清晨 (奇怪的工作時段)
發起人的意見是
沒有理由要求他們在不方便的時間工作
一是有些人是兼兩份工作 有些人是單親父/母
如果將他們的工作調到 3rd shift
這些人可能會為了保住別份工作或是家庭離開我們
啊~~ 忘了說 BSA 是負責維持清潔的職員
沒有他們 誰幫我們清地板跟衛生間啊~~~
每個系的教職員提出的意見
都讓我們再次體會到我們有多依賴這些 BSA
看不同部門的人的文筆風格也是非常有趣的
人文學系的教授寫的也真的很人文
希望 BSA 不要離開我們這個 family
理工的則是直接找到委員會
要求重新開會討論
